Dear members, people of the Codex of Fantasy,
Maybe this has come to you as a shock, maybe not.
But I have finally decided to step down.
As everyone might have noticed I haven't been really been able to keep up with the group itself, sometimes I feel I don't even want to any more.
When that happens, I think the best idea is to back off for a while. Maybe even for the rest of my life as founder of this group.
I have thought about taking this step for some time now.
I have set this group up and built it up with fellow deviantArtists and with you, the members.
If anyone wants to apply for group-Founder or knows someone, please reply to this blog.
You need to have some experience running a group or show you are capable of maintaining such a large group.
The only thing I'll be doing now is finding a good, new Founder for this group and be able to lead it on. Occasionally do some moderate Founder work too.
A lot of people enjoy this group and I like to keep it that way.
There will also be a few people helping me out to pick out the new Founder. If you are not chosen, please do not be upset.
I am very grateful to everyone who has helped build this group up to what it is today and that it is still standing.

Temp. Closed Submissions
Hey all. Bananayes here, telling you that submissions will be closed, temporarily. We're doing some big overhauls to the folders and organizing everything to make stuff easier for all members. As we are somewhat unsure of how to temp. block submissions, we ask that you please refrain from doing so and please be patient with us.

New founder and co-founders
Hello one and all this is Supersie letting you all know that I have taken over the group and i am taking suggestions for any changes anyone would like. But I also I have invited some new co-founders to the group. I also may be closing the folders some time soon to reorginize and clean them up. but please if anyone has any questions contact me or one of the cofounders.
About Folders and Submitting

We get a lot of submissions that we have to decline/redirect due to having been submitted to a wrong folder, and often they are the same mistake or misconception, so to make things a bit easier I've changed around some of the folder titles, and decided to write up this handy guide to where your submission is best suited and some commonly overlooked rules that lead to submissions being declined.
Changes
:bulletblack: "Humanlike OC's" is now "Humanoids"
:bulletblack: "Gifts and submissions for others" is now "Commissions, Gifts and Trades, etc."
:bulletblack: "Strange creatures and landscapes" is now "Beasts and Landscape
Common mistake
Hello dear members,
I see a mistake often made in the submissions section.
A lot of times I see people submitting their human-looking characters into the Strange Creatures and Landscapes folder. Or I see people doing the opposte: Submitting non-human looking creatures in the Misc OC folder.
If your artwork contains a human character, or human looking (anthropomorphic creatures, witches, elves, dwarves, armoured men, etc.) then it should be submitted to the Misc OC folder.
If your artwork contains a strange creature and/or landscape with no human characteristics whatsoever, then it should be put in the Strange Creatures and Landscapes folder
